What are "Posts?"

Blogs are like public journals that you share on the Web. Posts are like chapters in a book or an update to a diary. You start a new post each time that you want to share a topic, an article, a helpful link (or use the link list Widget) or a video. Anything that you wish to add that is not an embed code (YouTube video, Voki project, StoryBird, etc.) should be typed in the "Compose" box, NOT the "Edit HTML." Refer to the two boxes on the upper Right of this picture.

I type all of my posts in Word so that I can control for spelling, accents, font, and color. These can be modified in the Blogger "Compose environment", but saving a copy of each of your posts in one Word document is a best practice.

To add a (YouTube/Daily Motion/Podcast) video or embeddable product.
1. In the "Compose" box:
a. Type the word "VIDEO" where you want to place your video.

2. Copy the "Embed code" from the source (see instructions).
3. Choose the "Edit HTML" box at the top Right of this picture.
4. Find where you typed the word "Video" in the code.
5. Hit the "Enter" key 1-2 times in the code.
6. Paste the embed code.
7. Return to "Compose" and erase the word "Video!"
